L'hôtel : Le Manoir Hôtel, c'est toute l'histoire du Golf du Touquet. Le Manoir Hôtel était la noble demeure familiale du fondateur du Golf du Touquet, construite en 1911. Elle fut transformée d'abord en Club House après la guerre et ses destructions, par la suite en hôtel. Les propriétaires actuels, le Groupe Open Golf Club, s'est attaché à conserver l'esprit des lieux et son charme tout en lui donnant de la modernité.
Le golf : C’est sur le parcours de la Mer du golf du Touquet que les joueurs britanniques ne doivent pas du tout se sentir dépaysés : les fairways déroulent leur ruban vert au beau milieu de dunes majestueuses quand ils ne les escaladent pas pour pouvoir jeter un coup d’œil vers la mer. Superbe links ! Il est hors de question de s’écarter des fairways : le rough devient très vite une zone hostile où des bosquets broussailleux tentent de se faire une place au soleil dans le sable. A cela s’ajoutent des bunkers très présents aux abords des greens et le vent, bien sûr, qui, d’un jour à l’autre, modifie les paramètres, bouleverse la perception née d’une première expérience. Non, il n’est pas facile à dompter ce parcours qui a accueilli les plus grands, de Sam Torrance, recordman du parcours (63 lors de l’Open de France 1976), à un débutant qui s’appelait Tiger Woods !

As you might imagine, Le Touquet-Paris plage is a town that combines the peace and tranquillity of a seaside resort dotted with a selection of luxury hotels with the bustle of a town that plays host to a wide range of events.
The hotel : Le Manoir Hotel is all the history of Le Touquet Golf Club. Le Manoir was the family house of the founder, built in 1911. It was transformed into Clubhouse after the war and its destructions, afterward into hotel. The current owners, the Group Open Golf Club, attempted to preserve the spirit of this places and its English-style charm. We indeed have the impression to enter in a english manor house both by its architecture with its half-timberings hardly hidden by the Virginia creeper, and its decoration in woodwork.
The golf : The "La Forêt" course first opened in 1904 and "La Mer" in 1929. It is on this latter course that English players are likely to feel most at home: the fairways unfold amongst majestic dunes and at times even encroach upon their slopes to afford a view of the sea. What superb links! Deviating away from the fairways is out of the question: the rough quickly gives way to a hostile zone composed of copses and thick undergrowth that battle with the sand for a place in the sun. Add to this the bunkers—ever-present on the approaches to the greens, and the wind, of course, which, from one day to the next, modifies the parameters of play, completely negating the perception of the course derived from an initial experience. No, it is not easy to tame this course, which has entertained some of the world's greatest players, from Sam Torrence, the current record-holder of the course (63 at the French open in 1976), to a budding golfer called Tiger Woods!
