The Citadel
This structure, called the “queen of the citadels" by its designer Vauban, is a system of bastions forming a five-pointed star. The resulting polygon with bastions at its points was built on what was then the lowest and marshiest spot in the city. Definitely worth a visit.
Wazemmes Market
The most spectacular market in Lille, stretching over the entire Place Nouvelle Aventure. It accommodates between 290 and 300 stallholders on Thursdays and 400 stallholders on Sundays, selling food, books and games, second-hand goods, household supplies, clothes for all ages, shoes, exotic products and antiques.
PARK OF THE CHÂTEAU DU VERT BOIS - PROUVOST SEPTENTRION FOUNDATION (60 hectares)
Gardens with shaded areas encompassing a considerable range of plants classified by family.
The green space extends over approximately 50 hectares and is used by families from the Lille metropolis and Belgium as a venue for walks and leisure activities.
The Park offers different routes for walks every year.

Since 1990, the end of August has been a date in the diary of bicycle enthusiasts. Every year, thousands of sports fans come to watch this cycling event, broken down into two courses of 25 km and 40 km respectively.
