Boves Garden – Theatre Garden

Beneath the cobbled squares of the historical heart of Arras and surrounded by the mysterious Boves caves, the curtain rises on the magical world of an open-air theatre. The wonderful atmosphere is perfect for guided tours for families or couples, and for letting your imagination run wild.

Cité Nature
Recently installed in a former miner’s lamp manufacturing plant, Cité Nature is a cultural and scientific centre devoted entirely to issues relating to food, agriculture, nature and health, and features permanent and temporary exhibitions, a ‘discovery’ area for children and an ‘all-nature’ garden.
Opening times: Tuesday to Friday from 09:00-17:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 14:00 to 18:00. Closed on Mondays and public holidays

The Underside of Arras
Take a unique tour of the oldest quarries in the region, which have supplied the major building sites of Arras with stone since the 10th Century. During the First World War, they were also used as barracks for the 24,000 British soldiers who fought in the Battle of Arras on 9 April 1917.

Château d'Hendecourt Park
A landscaped park spread across 8 hectares and with remarkable trees, this complements the imposing white stone Art Deco château itself, complete with chapel, rows of Japanese lacquer trees and a centuries-old charm. Water features, statues, pergolas and gazebos emerge from small groves of trees and flowerbeds with ancient and modern roses, grasses and hardy perennials.
